Clinic FAQs
Which clinic should I attend?
Feel free to
attend any clinic. If you have been clicker training for a little while
you may still wish to attend an intro clinic to make sure you have really
understood all the theory and it is great for newbies to see more experienced
horses and trainers in action.

Startup-Intro Clinics - Full
Day
Startup-Intro Clinics are for complete novices,
who have never tried clicker training or may not know about all the theory.
These clinics teach the basic principles of operant conditioning and include practical training exercises that introduce
clicker training to both horse and handler. This clinic includes the
horse's very first lessons (conditioning the clicker).
Beginner Clinics - Half Day
Beginner Clinics are for those who already
understand about clicker training and may have started with some clicker
training.
The beginner clinics teach the basic principles of clicker
training and include practical training exercises that introduce each of the
methods that can be used with clicker training to 'get' the behaviours; shaping,
modeling, moulding, targeting etc and discuss the advantages and disadvantages
of each.
The clinic is designed to allow all attendees
with horses the opportunity to both practice with their horse and then to watch
the other participants.
Bookings are required for all clinics. Where
Outdoor Arenas are used, sessions will be subject to weather conditions.
Registration ensures you receive any updates, cancellations or changes in
schedule.
